New measurement function

Rodin4D now enables you to add control measurements on your 3D shape. In order to have better control of the measurements on your shape, a list (1) is available allowing you to add various measurements. These measurements are displayed at the top left of the 3D scene and are modified dynamically during your rectification.

  • 3D Line : allows you to measure a linear distance between 2 points on the shape.
  • Perimeter on section : measures the circumference from 3 points on the shape.
  • Partial volume : measures the volume of the section of the selected form. The unit of measurement for partial volume is now dm3.

New assistant for Rescreening the shape

Rescreening up to 20 times faster. Rodin4D offers you a rescreening interface which will guide you step-by-step up to the final importation. This interface will enable you to rescreen more complex forms.

New functions of the Photo assistant

Improvement of the assistant for sizing and positioning photos : You can define the useable area of the photo by delimiting it using a yellow frame.

Displaying the photo on your 3D shape : By ticking the 3D box, the photo will appear on your 3D shape.

Implementation of DICOM display

Rodin4D can change a DICOM file in the horizontal section panel. The display of an MRI or a scanner is displayed dynamically depending on the position of the selection line on your 3D shape.

Transparency can be activated or de-activated. You can adjust the Transparency Level of your DICOM file to display only the parts which interest you.

The Insert module

The Inserts tab allows you to insert Cube, Sphere, Cylinder and File objects into your shape.

  • An insert can be positioned on your shape any way you like.
  • You can add as many inserts as you wish.
  • Its properties (positions, orientations, dimensions, etc.) are retained in the saved records of forms of library or patient.

View/Section mode in the longitudinal panel

In order to better position your photo, you have the possibility of displaying a view on the longitudinal panel.

Warning! Do not mix up view and section: A section shows the contour of a particular area of the shape, whereas a view shows the contour of the overall shape.

Personalise your panels

The size of windows can be personalised. You have the option of personalising up to 4 display configurations and of switching from one configuration to the other using the buttons to the left of the sections panel. a specific window layout corresponds to each Screen Configuration button. You can therefore switch between one configuration and another.

Level Curves

The Level Curves display tool was implemented in order to obtain a visual rendering allowing asymmetries on a shape to be viewed or identified.

The level curves are displayed in accordance with the angle of view of the shape.
