Patient manager
The patient directory allows you to organize your patients, edit their data and visualize their shapes, scans or pictures.
It offers many options to organize and manage your patients’ files.
All these options are available with a right click on the folders, the patients’ names and the additional files.
The 3D shape rebuilding assistant
With the 4th version of Rodin4D, create a new 3D shape is even easier!
Now, a rebuilding assistant helps you reconstruct your shape.
So, a few seconds after digitalizing your patient, you can export your shape in the Rodin4D software.
You can not work on a scanned form immediately after digitalizing your patient. A scanned form is similar to a simple photograph, and in order to be modified in the 3D software, its structure has to be increased with radius.
Reconstruct your form with touchstone settings: touchstone settings lets you work practically instantaneously on your 3D shape with touchstone features. You will get in 1 click a Rodin4d 3D shape ready to be corrected in Rodin4D software.
Or use the advanced settings, with all the previous options.

Trim lines
The new Trim Lines functionality helps you visualize and schedule the future trim lines of your body jacket.
Those trim lines will be performed by the Rodin4D milling machine during the carving.
Actually, this option is available for body jackets and KOs.
You can find this new functionality on the Trim Lines tab at the right of the Rodin4D interface.

- Trim line: realize the trim of the whole 3D shape
- Higher limit: realize the trim of the upper part of the 3D shape
- Lower limit: realize the trim of the lower part of the 3D shape
- Opening: realize an opening on the 3D shape
- Line: realize the trim of a single line on the 3D shape
- Tracer: allows defining the future place of the tracers
Reporting
From now on, Rodin4D allows you to print a report for each patient in pdf, html, word formats using the Reporting feature!
Each report contains the whole data about your patient: Name, date of birth, doctor, 3D views, photographs, measurements....
Each measurement mark is described by a table with the following information: Circumference, Front diameter, Anterior Posterior, Height.

Original form tab
An original form is a form without tool. For example, when you import a scan into Rodin4D software, you obtain an original form. The Original form tab allows you to get your form ready to be rectified under the best possible conditions.
With the help of work oriented tools, you will be able to cut, plane, polish, fill or equalize some parts of your form.
The original form tools allow you to work virtually on your shape like you could work with plaster:
Saw: The saw tool allows you to cut your form. Two kinds of cutting are available: simple cuttings and symmetrical cuttings
Plane: The Plane tool allows you to remove material
Eraser: The eraser tool polishes your form.
Rasp: The rasp tool allows you equalize the outlines of your shape, by adding material, removing material or doing both at the same time.
Spade: The spade tool allows you to add material.
