A complete Rodin4D system in Canada
Rodin4D were in Quebec from 6th to 10th June 2011 to install a complete CAD/CAM system for orthopaedics,
at the Rehabilitation Centre Marie Enfant (CRME), situated in the south-east of Montreal.
A first in Canada!
Anthony Bournet, Sales Manager, and Alexandre Phimphavong, member of the technical support team,
installed the system which now allows the Quebec hospital to use CAD/CAM to design and produce their own orthopaedic prosthesis and orthosis.
Our team also provided on-site training for three ortho-prosthetists who now use the Rodin4D system independently.
Serving children and teenagers, the CRME Marie Enfant
provides pediatric and physical rehabilitation care. In 1982, it became the first centre in Quebec specialised in the rehabilitation of physically handicapped children.
In January 2000, the hospital joined forces with the Sainte Justine university hospital centre, CHU Sainte Justine.
This new alliance gave them a university status, thus making the CRME the only mother-child university hospital centre in Canada.
Installing this CAD/CAM system, has allowed Rodin4D to formalise a 4 year minimum research partnership with the
Sainte Justine hospital and the Montreal polytechnic school.
A success from start to finish!
